I am a (retired) history and government teacher from the American midwest. Compared to any other two countries (including our “special relationship” with the U.K.) the U.S. and Canada have shared one of the best ongoing relationships among geographic neighbors anywhere in the world. The U.S. could not ask for a better neighbor than Canada.

Since i began following Lost Lakes i have gushed to my husband about the breathtaking beauty and vast wilderness that is Canada, I never knew until Lost Lakes!!! If we weren't old (74&72) I would be trying to convince my husband to sell everything, move to Canada, purchase canoes and camping hammocks, like Jon and Erin's 🎉❤!

I am well into my 90s… don’t travel much anymore. Have fished many hours in Canada (and Alaska)… all memorable and enjoyable. I have relatives in Canada/Quebec and down through New England.
Yes there are those disgruntled and misinformed/mislead individuals in the US. But I truly believe the majority believe just as I do: Canada is a beautiful country and as solid a neighbor as anyone could ask for.
