'The Happy Wanderer" became a popular British song post-WW2, based off of a Saxon song made by Friedrich-Wilhelm Mueller. The song was adapted into a march and is used by the British Commonwealth nations.

I do not represent any of the ideologies, countries, or religions shown on this channel. No matter if we agree or disagree, it is still important to document the songs of every ideology, country, and religion.

The beginning march before "The Happy Wanderer" is "South Down Militia". This is a nice rendition of the march, and the drillwork is amazing!

RHKPF and RHKAPF, their parent organization is the Royal Ulster Constabulary. Happy Wanderer is a tribute to officers of the Uniform Branch mainly the Beat Patrol Officer AKA the PC or PC(A) on foot patrol.

This is a German fold song-Mein Vater War Ein Vandermann. I sued to sing during my secondary school choir way back to Hong Kong in the late 50's. Still remember the good old days.

My late father, Alfred Hoe did a short stint with the Hong Kong police. We immigrated to Vancouver, BC (1952) because my mom was born in New Westminster, BC. My question is, is the Hong Kong Police Force run the same as police forces throughout Chinese mainland or are they a separate entity.

Can you publish “Great Man「大丈夫」” song that was played by Royal Hong Kong Police bands in instrumental and lyric versions.

I believe 'The Happy Wanderer' was also the regimental march of the Rhodesia Light Infantry.

Sounds quite familiar to a Ulster Royalist march at the beginning

HK was never so well governed, just like the rest of our empire. Don’t let the A holes denigrate it. 🇬🇧🇬🇧
