Do you need a license to operate and send signals through a radio? Dumb question

Keep talking to each other, in what ever way we can. That way, we can overcome all aggression and survive anything.

Only a cw ham nerd can appreciate another cw ham nerd. I told my non-ham friend that I do morse code and his response was "why? it's 2025 dude!" 😂

Great video Forrest. For those thinking of getting into radio and CW give it ago. It's great fun and will connect you with people you never could have imagined.

So here's a few questions:
1. Are there different agencies that control the radio space? For example if i live in Europe or middle east is there a different set of rules and i need to get a license from that specific one?
2. Is morse code only english or are there other versions? ( How would the communication work between different countries basically)
3. How would you suggest a person learn to use morse code? ( I have relearned for like 3 times but i always forget because of not using it)
4. Do you have videos on your channel for absolut begginers? Or videos you suggest beginners should watch.
5. Are there paddles that i can train on with just connecting to my pc ( basiclly on a controlled safe environment to practice i.e an app)
6. Are there any online communities that communicate with morse code but through the internet?

I know that's a lot of questions but i would watch if you have relatid videos to my question😊

I was readung up on morse code abbreviations. Apparently, saying "cs pls" (Calling all stations please) gets you called a "Lid" which means "poor operator." Yes, it is derogatory.

This reminds me of my days in the US Army. The learning process is brutal. But once you have it down, CW hambone with a leg key.

You explain the same way I do to my friends and people I meet. It’s a way for nerds to communicate.

From my knowledge, I remember they told us that it was sent through cables but that was only if you had like a decent amount of money and could access that. And apparently it would sometimes be from station to station for mail and they would have someone there translating everything😅

The most common method is using a tone generator connected between the key and the radio. The key also turns the transmitter on and off.

Who’s asking “how do you send Morse Code”? I thought the radio was obvious.

Im a general class amateur opeatror. I strictly do voice communications. Im stidying for my extra class, then I will start working on CW (Code Work Morse Code). For now, I've spoken to 80 countries, sometimes with a wire in a tree and a 100 watt radio. I love this hobby. Thank you for sharing your CW with all of us. 73 De KQ4UHS
