Top notch stuff. 'Doing less' is a tough task for many players and a toolbox skill which must be practiced regularly

Thanks, ET Team. You guys are proactive! I just watched the 12 degrees video last week. I think I tend to keep my racket too open when I volley, so I thought it was constructive as it gave me something else to try out. Your point is well taken, however, that the angle of the racket face is variable and depends upon the situation at hand.

The technique you teach volley is very standard. I regularly watch your channel to refer to the training

Thank you guys for explaining people tennis in the easiest possible way. Just one thing, why doesn't anybody talk about the most important thing, how to hold the racquet when volleying. Position of the fingers and pressure points instead of talking about loosening up as people quite don't understand how to do it. Just a comment, hopefully constructive :) Anyway, keep up amazing work!

Hi Iain, the biggest thing which is missing in this video is advice on footwork. The best volleyers volley with their legs. Also not a word on the preffered point of contact.

So, you create a concave volley wall with the racquet face open at the bottom and closed at the top!

I agree with everything this video shows but without a good grip(something close to a contiental) players never change. They can not because, with the forehand grip that is commonly used, they have to stand face on with the ball thus taking away all these good tips you gave. Maybe you can address the relationship of grip and body alignment with the ball, , , I'm not trying to down play this video but after 31 years of coaching it is what I've noticed and it is epidemic. Thanks for you good work.

Hey Ian, how can i prepare mentally for a competition or a big match? I find myself getting really nervous and my shots get really tight. Is there anything to do with this? HUGE thanks for your videos. Really helped me...

Is that Moorland? That has to be moorland. Looks to familiar. Why do you go to so many different courts?
