Thank you so much for these reviews! I took a fast track course and didn't have a good understanding when looking at cases. You have helped with what to look for and how to go about finding them.

THANK YOU for this review series. I am set to re take the exam on Dec 4th here in AZ. There are no more test dates for 2021 without having to fly to it!
So no extra pressure, right 😳😱

Perfecting timing as I just finished learning about CPT! The Anesthesia section was confusing me a bit when coding my practice documents. When is it appropriate to use the anesthesia codes, and when they are used, will the report give a general description of which physical status modifier I'd end up using? Some of the codes in the surgery section support anesthesia administered so that was also throwing me off. I apologize if these are obvious questions 🥲

I had a question on the sequence of the modifiers. And the mod like QY, QK etc. Just a lil confused.

What about modifiers for the person administering the anesthesia (anesthesiologist vs CRNA with and without supervision)? I found them in the appendix of HCPC but otherwise there is no mention of them. My instruction book discusses them very briefly but unless you know what modifier you are looking for in HCPC, you'd have to search the entire appendix to find the right one. Is there an easier way to find them? Thank you!

Do you know if in the national exam there will be questions where you have to figure out base values? Is it a good idea to have those notes in cpt book as to how to figure out?

Hello, Thank you for sharing your expertise. I have been coding for many years and not licensed but I am having issues this year with United Healthcare with Cataract post op care POS which I am using 11 as the patient is seen in our office. I have tried to appeal with Medicare guidelines and still they are denying what is your advise.

Surgery began at 8:26 am and finished at 8:18 am. I'm struggling to understand the period, how it is justified? Could you please help me out to understand this.

Also sorry question, if a question mentions anesthesia and other procedures are involved, would you code the anesthesia code as well or is anesthesia assumed to be part of the cpt code?

How do you determine was is considered a mild systemic disease and a severe systemic disease? It seems so subjective to me. Same with E/M coding. Like is the documentation going to literally say "expanded history and exam, straight forward decision making"? Or do I need to determine that myself?

hello, I love yuor videos, they help me a lot so thank you and I appreciate your dedication. How do i find or distinguish a "flat fee" procedure in the surgery section of the book?

My main issue with anesthesia coding is modifiers, not the anesthesia modifiers like QS, QK, QY, etc…but 51, 59 etc…it’s so confusing to me.
