Weird Tennessee Laws

If you're living in Tennessee, or thinking of moving to Tennessee, you're going to want to know about some really strange state laws we have here. No joke, these are actual laws within our state! Some weird Tennessee laws are obviously antiquated, but others are actually more recent. Please don't comment if you're breaking the law -- the Internet is forever, ya'll.

I'm Rachael Hadidsaz, a local Tennessee Realtor®️ with eXp Realty in Murfreesboro, TN. As a lifelong resident of Tennessee, I can’t imagine living anywhere but here. I grew up in Cookeville, TN and attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville before relocating to Murfreesboro in 2016. I know firsthand what it’s like moving to a new city where you may not know anyone or much about the area. My goal with this channel is to empower the public on what life is like in the Murfreesboro area, and a taste of what Tennessee living is, so that YOU can make the best decision for you and your family.

I grew up in Tennessee and haven't heard of anyone prosecuted for any of these.

These are hilarious! #1 cracked me up the most! And here I was planning to go off road whale hunting from my moving vehicle this Fall. Hahahaha!

LOL! I've done #8 while living in Alaska. I just picked up a hitchhiker and he told me he needed to go about 5 miles down the road. A few minutes later I run over a Spruce Hen. I stopped my truck and picked it up, rung it's neck and tossed it in the bed of my pickup truck. When I got in he asked "what you going to do with that?" I said "Dinner!" He immediately asked me to let him out at the next street corner. I'll be right at home when I get to Tennessee!

In Oklahoma, it is against the law to catch a Whale on Sunday, and it is also illegal to ride a horse in a Saloon !!

I guess #3 is relevant, but in the old days? I don't think so. And #9 I think is not right and not just weird.
