First, two-mode will be linear transactional and the third is the torsional mode.
if they have torsional behaviour in mode one or mode two all the column will behave in an isolated manner to the earthquake. so the first two modes should be linear transactional only so that all the column behave like a group when the earthquake force will come in a particular direction.
