Budget Friendly Sensored Brushless Setup & Install for RC Drift | (Hobbywing 10BL60 & 10.5T)

I am continually looking for ways to help folks get into RWD RC drifting - and one the biggest barriers to entry to COST. Folks really don't want to jump in with $1k-$2k setups in a part of the hobby they have never tried before.

Not sure about the 60 but the 10bl120 (£38 in the uk) has adjustable timing, it feels identical to the Toro120 at less than half the price. My D5, 10bl120 and speedpassion 10.5 (£37 in uk) hangs with absolutely anyone. I just cannot understand why anyone would spend any more? You get much much higher performance by learning to drive lmao.

Just bought a 10.5t and 60amp sensored setup for my car as I watched this video. I’ve been on the fence about but this video helped finalize it. Thanks man

Have you had any issues running that 10.5 turn motor with that escape over the last 6 months ?. Does the motor overload the escape at all seeing that it states nothing lower than 13.5 turns on 2 cell lipo ?. And do you think that combo would work for an off-road four-wheel drive buggy 1/10 scale ?.

Hi Troy I have a question about the hobbywing program card.... My Esc is hobbywing xerun 120a v2.1 is it possible to setting turbo with the program card the same like what you use for that esc on this video? Or I have to buy other program card to setting my esc turbo? Thanks before

I have been looking at body's for a drift car mainly all I see is imports, and not cheap at all...they go for around 150

Can also use the set button.. Had the same esc in my first drift build.. Works great.. Also running the 10bl120 in my fxx-d.. 👌 Love these cheap budgets tests of yours 😅👌

Hate to sound childish but the xd10 makes a sweet whistle when near full power does this cheaper esc do the same with timing?

Btw..? 😅👌 How often do you change your ball bearings on the front wheels? 😊 🤔 I have been struggling with keeping mine nice and clean and keeping them rolling at max effiancy.. The car is a mst fxx-d 2.0s

Great video, I'm all about budget quality electronics... I've tried the top notch Castle systems and the inexpensive GoolRC systems. Of course you can't go wrong with Castle, but if you have several rc cars, you can easily break the bank equipping all your rigs with top of the line electronics.
Thanks for showing that sometimes budget electronics are just as good
However, drivers skill has a lot to do with being the local "Drift King".

does the 10bl60 require any soldering?

How is 2000W not enough power? 20 volts at 120 amps ESC... Isn't that overkill? Im planing to use that for my bycicle in combination with 6384 motor.

Is the fan port on the HOBBYWING Quicrun 10BL60 Sensored ESC same as the other hobby wing esc with the 2 pin

Yeah i went with the same setup albeit a 10BL120, that 10.5T motor can suck 62A... just a heads up for anyone looking to replicate this. Using the 120A will keep the esc cool in low air movment conditions as the esc will never even feel the current the motor is asking for.
