Operation Winter Storm was a German offensive in December 1942. Prit Buttar will talk about the contribution of the 6 Panzer Division around the small town of Verkhne Kumsky.

For a unit that had only recently arrived to the "Ostfront" it is astounding that the 6th Panzer Division performed so well. This was a superb presentation about how the Wehrmacht Panzers still had the tactical flexibility to outfight the Soviets even when outnumbered. It also highlights the beginning of the Soviet Armies' evolvement in perfecting mobile warfare. I am very impressed by the knowledge and quality of the guests we continue to enjoy. Congratulations to WW2TV as well for attaining the 20K subscriber mark. Well done!

another outstanding show. seriously, ww2tv's shows keep building upon each other and each one is better than the prior one. Paul has an uncanny knack for procuring guests who are passionate, knowledgeable and interesting. I really enjoyed Prit's presentation: it's extremely thorough and captivating. the historical narrative, which is mentioned in a few other comments, read by Prit is astonishing. Wow! Another excellent presentation in this series on armored. It was particularly interesting when adding details about the individuals involved and where the strategy was flawed i.e., 17th Pz and their late arrival. I must admit I have a very limited knowledge of the finer points of the Eastern front which this helps to fill in. Thanks for another great program by a very knowledgeable author. Thoroughly enjoyed watching this presentation by Pritt. Learned a lot. So much is not known about the Eastern Front in minute detail. So really the more shows you can do on this front, the better.
Pritt Butar should be a poet imho. He really has a wonderful narration voice.
@ 44:02 the fog of war was summed up in that amazing passage he recited. Makes you wonder why the Russians didn't know it was a Panzer or indeed Germans.
Could it have been Russians or maybe a different linguistic group who didn't understand Russian and confused the Germans muffled pigeon Russian as the real thing?? Who knows.

Another great show with great details. The picture of the camels, priceless. The description of Soviet soldiers leaning on the panzers in the dark...unreal but in the dark of night and fog of war....unreal things happen.

My YT suggestions came up with yet another @WW2TV episode with Prit that I'd missed first time around. I'm not only glad I got to catch this episode and scratch it off my list of unwatched episodes, but every time I hear Prit give a presentation I really warm to him. I wasn't sure about his sympathetic approach to the Soviets to start with, but he's won me over. Thank you Woody & Prit.
