Please don't change and become materialistic. There are more important things in life that will make you happy. Material items can't make you truly happy. Choose to be truly happy with the person you love.

There's a reason Denmark gets a place in top ten happiest nation but SK doesn't. Being materialistic is the quickest way to be unhappy.

Modesty is a greatly undervalued trait in society.

i have korean friend who only wears branded clothes from head to toes with negative balance in account due to high amount of debt/zero savings. When i asked him why he only wants to wear expensive clothes, because that’s the only way people won’t look down on him and won’t questions his status in society. People will treat you nice if you look expensive, which is very sad.

You and I had the SAME thought about luxury brands. Growing up in Texas, only the super rich cared about designer brands but when I moved to New York I was so shocked! Even the poor and middle classes there are OBSESSED with labels and designers. It was so weird for me, I moved back home after college.

Pls don't be materialistic Ms. Beautiful. Change for the better not the opposite. You are more beautiful that way.

I see cars as metals with rolling rubbers you know. All we need is comfort and happiness.

When I lived in Korea, Koreans thought that I was poor as shit because I never spent money on clothes and other stuff at the big department stores and boutiques. I opted to buy clothes from the local 시장 or go out to 부평시장

Canadian here. Visited both Copenhagen and Seoul this year. Definitely felt like this. Even though Denmark has all the brands, and both countries are very fashionable, more young ppl in Seoul appeared to care about brands. Both Korea and Denmark are amazing countries though.

I was a materialistic until this year .
I took the wrong def of “ treat yourself like a queen” . So showed off everything I bought like bags, perfume. But I became noticed that kind of happiness doesn’t long last. Now I’m focusing on myself and everyday is full of satisfaction. ( eg . I do skincare a lot so my skin became clear, whenever I see the mirror I feel happy ) . Please focus on yourself, it’s better way to get happiness.

너무 맞는 말이다 물론 물질에 집착하는 성향 덕분에 가난한 국가에서 이렇게 빠르게 성장할 수 있었겠지만 이제는 좀 변해야 함

Korea's lifestyle is actually toxic NGL. Me as a chronic kdrama watcher, suddenly started checking out brand prices and stuffs that are high end shown in those dramas. But thankgod i started rethinking of what i was gonna get into and stopped myslf. There are little people who dont fall into this trap.just be practical in choosing things that you like and want No matter how much it costs. Happy you are one of them.❤

Living in Korea definitely changed me, I got more into skincare, dressing well, documenting a lot, also I like some designer stuff but I realize you can look nice with just a good fashion sense!
