the transfer is from icloud right.? so it would transfer all the data we save from the icloud like contacts, photo, notes etc right.?

What if I sync my icloud to ipad but i dont want to transfer whatever data in my phone to ipad ? And I did but weirdly I have all photos in my ipad . If I delete it, will all the photos video deleted in my phobe too ?
