The Arm did say Laura came from a place where there is always music in the air 👍👍

Lotsa theorising about Ronnette and Laura being at Club Silencio in a shot of Mulholland drive and I love the idea of everything tying in to Lynchverse. I personally doubt it but the visuals have almost played like a greatest hits of his movies.

sorry for the length of this, but it's important I think: I've long suspected that one of the two woodsmen present during the Lodge meeting is the former husband of the Log Lady (most likely the one played by Jurgen Prochnow). In episode 1.05, the Log Lady herself states that her husband was a lumberjack:

“My husband was logging man. He met the devil. Fire is the devil, hiding like a coward in smoke.”

Apparently her husband died in a fire on their wedding night. This was not “a kind of fire", as the Log Lady puts it. Presumably, he had ventured too close to Glastonberry Grove and was transported to the Lodge. The night before he died, he appears to have retrieved some of the oil at Glastonberry Grove and brought it back to the Log Lady. The fire the Log Lady refers to may allude to BOB are the Lodge spirits in general. In FWMM, it is repeatedly suggested that fire is a metaphor for being possessed. These clues tentatively suggest that her husband was a former host to one of the Lodge spirits and died as a result of it.

I like to believe that his soul is actually trapped inside the Log Lady’s log. This would not only explain why she always carries the log with her but also why she communicates with it and remains informed of Lodge movements. Recall that, upon her death, Josie’s soul became trapped inside the wood of the Great Northern Hotel, so the theory isn't completely far-fetched. Throughout Twin Peaks, there are suggestions that the woods themselves are host to spirits or parts of the spirit world. In the same episode where Josie dies, Hawk states that “The wood holds many spirits”. Even the name of the area reflects this belief: Ghostwood.

Lastly, it would seem quite odd to cast a relatively big name like Jurgen Prochnow in such a pointless cameo if the character didn't have any relevance to Twin Peaks at all. Perhaps this detail more than anything else makes us question his role. The woodsmen actively participate in the “discussion” during the Lodge meeting, suggesting that they are not merely accidental onlookers. The woodsman played by Prochnow makes a strange tapping motion once the MFAP is done talking. Is he signalling his agreement with the "contract" outlined by the MFAP (regarding the green ring)? Or is he calling the meeting to an end?

Not sure if someone already mentioned this, but the song being played at the KPJK radio station in 1956 is "My Prayer" by the Platters (which was actually released in 1956). One of the members of The Platters is ALSO named DAVID LYNCH. Same spelling. He died in 1981.

Mark Frost on David Lynch: "He's a cross between Jimmy Stewart and Salvador Dali."

Everything Lynch does can be informed by these two archetypes, which are always operating - sometimes in contrast, sometimes in unison, but always creating a tension that underlines his worldview, that the conditions of the material universe have been arranged by unknowable and terrible primal cosmic forces so as to produce maximal pain and sorrow ("garmonbozia"), but also that each human being represents the potential to fire a thin beam of light through this veil ("Laura Palmer"). Frost himself polishes around the edges, applying the specific symbolic references and historical markers, cleaning up after Lynch creatively storms through the room, leaving a wake of chaos.

Episode 8 was like the thesis statement of the series.

This may be a massive stretch, but since The Giant is listed as "The Fireman", any chance he's the log lady's husband? We know he was a fireman who died in a fire on their wedding night. If this could somehow be true, I think they would win the award for "Strangest Twin Peaks Couple".

The white horse reminds me of a book entitled, "Behold a Pale Horse, " which was written by someone named, Bill Cooper. The Pale Horse is a reverence to revelations, I believe, and heralded in the apocalypse? Anyway, it was a sign/symbol of evil to come. Also, it was a book about UFOs, hence the Blue Rose projects.

When the main woodsmen was talking about a horse I thought for sure it was in reference to the white horse that keeps popping up.

In episode 8 of the original run Agent Cooper is also shot and is met by the Giant. The first time he sees him, the Giant gives him 3 clues. THE SECOND TIME THOUGH... The giant gives Cooper a clue ending it with "You forgot something.." Cooper asks what he forgot and the giant lifts his hand revealing the golden orb which then enters through Coopers mouth like the moth/frog did with the girl. The birth of Bobs orb resulted in the birth of Bob in the physical form of that bug starting his cycle of possession. I think the golden orb has the same effect placed into the world as a counter to Bob's evil and that it has been an on going cycle with the face of Laura Palmer on the orb signifying that the events of the first run would be the events that would lead to Bobs eventual demise and return to the black lodge. Mind you, Laura Palmer wasn't completely innocent but that's partly because she was born of Bob (Leland who was possessed as a child) and Sarah Palmer and the golden orb must have found its way to her. Could this also explain Richard Horne and why he is so immoral? Was he possibly the child of Evil Cooper and Audrey? Evil Cooper would have been in the hospital at the same time as Audrey while she was in her coma after the events of the season 2 finale as hinted at by Sheriff Trumans Skype call to the doctor... And we know Bob has a history of being a sexual predator taking advantage of girls... Just something to think about.. - Charles

OBSERVATIONS AND PLAUSIBLE CORRELATIONS: The Chinook Frog Clan Ancestress Legend speaks of a "House, floating in the middle of a lake." This is the FIRST idea mentioned in the Frog clan historical reference within the Secret History; So I imagine that the "house, in the middle of a lake" holds as much relevance as anything in the frog-clan legend itself. Is not the "House" in which the "Giant" resides literally in the middle of a lake? Also: Recall the First Scene and First words spoken in SEASON 3: GIANT: "Agent Cooper. Listen to the sounds." This is followed by a Frog-like croaking emanating from an antique sound amplifier. GIANT: "IT is in our house now." Agent Cooper: "It is?" I must stress the following words: "SOUNDS"(Plural or Multiple), "IT"(Singular), and "OUR HOUSE." So: the fact that the sounds coming from the amplifier is referred to as SOUNDS(Plural or Multiple) and that the term "IT" (singular) is used in referring to that "It is in our house now, " means that the "IT" is not a reference to the sound itself being " in OUR HOUSE now" but WHAT is making the sound. Thus: There is a single being in the Giant's house-in-the middle-of-a-lake which wasn't there at some time prior to this revelation to Cooper. That the sound is recognizable to Cooper (COOPER: "It is?") means that the being making the sound is known to Cooper, and he is being warned of it's current presence in "Our House" -- the house in the middle of the lake which belongs in part to the Giant, as the term "our" refers to partial ownership.

I'm glad you spotted the Upanishads connection. Mark Frost is influenced by theosophy, which itself was heavily influenced by the Hindu texts.

The girl found a penny and then Lincoln appeared. I wonder if Washington started lurking around if she found a quarter instead.

there are cans in the store and I think that could be related to what Mike was shouting to Leland in FWWM (scene on the crossroad) about creamed corn. so that would mean these cans contains garmanbozia :)

The young girl who swallowed the frog-bug was Sarah Palmer, Laura's mom. She possessed the ability to see images (Bob, the white horse) that others couldn't. I think the creature crawling into her mouth was the inception of her abilities.

The atomic bomb scene looks exactly like the scene in Eraserhead with Henry's head being used as an eraser (in the factory). Black universe with white dots
