Sharique you have done a splendid job by doing this video which highlights the importance of choosing the career of one's on choice.
I feel that a major flaw with our outdated education system is that it is not career oriented. Students have to made aware of the various opportunities right from their high school days . Unfortunately our society gives too much of importance to science subjects in school. A student is made to believe that excelling in science is the best path to success. There is too much of importance given to the service sector in our state Kerala. But there are numerous opportunities in humanities, arts, economics and commerce, immense potential to succeed in these fields.
Regarding to your view on BTech I have a slight difference of opinion. Almost half of the BTech graduates are not able to secure a job in engineering . They resort to taking up jobs in other fields which are not meant for them. So I feel students can think about going for BBA, Bcom, CA if they don't have a very good rank in the engineering entrances. Also there are numerous opportunities coming up in tourism and journalism . It is said by many experts that almost one third of the total jobs in 2030 will be in fields that are unknown to the present world. So we have to be conscious and evolve our capabilities accordingly.
