Appreciate the video...tad bit to dark but sense I do own the R24 it's readable to me...Another any led VU metering....they are not all that accurate, thus it is best to (once you first get your R24) record samples at differing levels and be sure to use the same audio file on each go into an input with a previous recoding know to be at a good steady level...then record at diff. metering sample where you are in Red 50% of the time one another where you are in Red with just flickering and another when you never go into Red but are in Orange 75%ish of the time...then take these files into your preferred DAW and check levels of each sample, I just view the wave form most of the time but also play back each separately and check peak level after to see which samples level comes closest to what level you prefer as long as they do not distort or show the level is not tracking in 24 Bit you can easily set your LED VU much lower....I set mine to "never" hit Red....and have always had excellent recordings with this setting..if rec. at 16 bit....it is a near must to do the samples tests for you need a hotter signal to help not introduce noise. Another advantage to 24 Bit and lower level is that it gives you headroom for Mastering your audio in your DAW of choice....I never master in R24...it works, but I like more control which I get in
PS: I have also and on occasion still...do this sample test and use a nice drum sample that is included with your R24
