I was just gifted a new R24 from a friend who thought included drums wold be useful. I haven't messed with any of it yet, but with the touchpads, I would think someone who wants to write their own drum patterns for their songs (I do), it should be possible. I'm brand new to this thing, so I'll experiment. In my mind, with three banks of eight tracks, every drum could be on it's own track to export to a DAW for mixing. I guess I'll see, because that's what I'm looking for, not someone else's looped patterns.

What about connecting the rhythm patterns together to create a complete song meaning rhythm track patterns of intro, verse, chorus, fills etc how is that done? I don't see that in the manual.

Would love to know where I can get the R-24 drum loops that come with the unit. I've misplaced my stick....(sigh)

I didn’t make it very far I wanted to just loop drum pattern one over and over again on track 2 but for some reason when I select track 1 and 2 are tied together as a stereo track and I can’t get the take to change at all it just stays audio no matter what I push?

Hi how are you? Do you know if the r24 zoom pads can be configured in Cubase (9), to play them and link it, for example, with the "ssd5 drums" plugin?

Thanks for your videos, Deb. A quick question, have you experienced the R24 not commiting the pattern? For me I have to exit and reopen the project for the pattern to play, after assigning it to a track.

Hi Deb, What disc are the internal drum tracks/loops on? I have a disc with the PDF manuals and drivers, and a USB with some drum loops, but I don't think these loops are the same as the internal ones. Thanks.

How can you unassign a rhythm pattern to those two tracks that you assigned them to originally if you want to use those tracks for something else?

Seems way easier to hook up a dedicated drum machine to the R24 ( having all your patterns) pre arranged and record them on to stereo tracks in the R24. Internal drum sequences and wave file loops in the boss BR1180 were way "way" easier than this. Just 'sayin.

SOLVED !!! Zoom R16/R24 on a Mac as a controller/interface - with or without Logic SOLVED !!!
"Doesn't work on a Mac as a controller and/or interface which renders it 50% invalid. I mailed Zoom and I'm waiting for an answer or driver update. They're selling it as compatible though. Even the Zoom R24 product page shows a connection with a Mac, but I guess that's only for design purposes. Why did I buy it? Because they sell it for both systems."
