i don’t know why people call sabrina the “other woman” or a home wrecker… both situations were not her fault and the “triangle” aspect is bc both of her boyfriends (basset and mendes) had celebrity exes before her lol.

olivia just wrote songs about her ex moving on, mainly targeted to joshua not sabrina - it was the hate train that came from fans that hit sabrina. as sabrina said.. “because she liked a boy”.

then with shawn mendes, she dated shawn after he broke up with camila. imo shawn really does love camila and just can’t move on from her and that’s not sabrina’s fault. she was used as a rebound essentially in both cases, so she writes from the (somewhat) unique perspective as someone who was “used” or “played”, only for the man to go back to his ex.

It's important to note that BEFORE Sabrina's album came out, Camila has already written about this very situation in her album C, XOXO, and funnily enough, about pretty much the same thing Sabrina writes. It's pretty clear that Shawn is the root of the problem here. Idk why people keep hating on Camila when even Taste (both the song and video) isn't really a Camila diss either.

To be honest, I don't feel like these situations are that crazy, I think they happen all the time in real life. Nobody should be crucified for this type of things. They just sing about it and that's it I don't think they define their whole personality. I love Sabrina I like Camila a lot I like Shawn as well, fans and/or haters are again more crazy that the situations themselves. :))

Loved Sabrina’s new album and her honesty but can’t wrap my head around the fact that she is letting this narrative flourish when we all know what happened with her previous love triangle (especially her fans now) attacking Camila when she was in a two year long relationship with her then boyfriend and in which Sabrina was never a part of…

Both Camila and Sabrina have always showed nothing but love to each other so please guys stream the songs you like and just let the hate go!

I’m going to say something controversial but I don’t think it’s the artists fault if the audience wants to run with drama. I think it’s up to the listener to not always involve the art given with an artist’s personal life. They should be able to express themselves without worrying that people are going to pick it a part tremendously. I’m a huge swiftie but this is an ick I get in my fandom because they’re always trying to place her songs with a particular person instead of relating it to themselves, or just enjoying the art.
