I agree about the Boss DD-500 = incredible unit. I also love the Diamond analog optical Tremolo = thick swampy . . .with all the bells & whistles. (also) check the Shiftee Vibe = it's the Best-one I have ever heard = hypnotic, liquid, underwater Throb. Great episode guys.

+1 on the Flux Effects Liquid Tremolo - it’s analog, midi-capable, stereo, and has tons of wave forms and tempo options. Easily the best tremolo I’ve played. Unfortunately I sold it as a compromise to get a multi-fx on my board to make room for other modulation options. Dang I miss that Liquid Tremolo…

You can definitely tell cheap tuner inconsistencies when you're trying to tune the lower strings on basses.
I've owned a few brands that have a hard time with that, but the peterson strobe stomp does a great job for me. My korg micro black tuner always had trouble with the low e on bass, i usually had to wack the harmonic at the 12th fret to do it.

I don't think they have mentioned doubler pedals. I'm running two amps in stereo, with a Mimiq doubler on the right amp, to widen my tone for a band as the only guitar player, like Pantera. Not sure where the best place is in the signal chain, but I play high gain drop A metal tones and cleans, and settled on putting it as the last pedal before my noise suppressor and amp input. Signal chain is empress para eq, empress compressor, crybaby wah, digitech whammy, boss ls-2 to copy the mono signal to dual mono, and continued on the right side signal path - some kind of harmonizer yet to be decided, then the Mimiq doubler, Decimator, 5153 Stealth input. On another topic of harmonizers... I tried the EHX Pitchfork and thought it sounded too digital/fake. I've just been using the whammy for 2 octave up, but I want that effect going to both amps so I need another harmonizer for the right amp.

For your route the wet dry routes. Interested in the effects in parallel route options (live not studio) on the wet and what effects remain on the dry side.

I used an old full-size Ernie Ball volume pedal, bought used at a pawn shop, replaced pot once & string twice in 15 years.
Loved the throw on the pot! It actually had a switch inside for two modes on the taper. I finally upgraded to the Ernie Ball Jr. with the built-in tuner. Was close to getting the Lehle or the Boss, but went eventually with a familiar friend.

I'm confused about the tuner - maybe I didn't hear correctly but wouldn't you want your tuner to be first thing in the chain?

Just a tip regarding the Dunlops VP X, I contacted support and they suggested putting Loctite on the alan screw before screwing it down as tight as you can.. I haven't had a single issue with it (or my second one that I use for expression) since. Kind of unnerving putting superglue on something like that, haha.

Jam Wahcko Wah, Peterson Strobotune, into a RJM RG16 rack loop switcher, Vertex Nyle, Xotic SP, ToneFreak Abunai II, then I can switch between the preamps of my Bogner Ecstasy 101B or Bogner 20th Anniversary Ecstasy or Synergy Rack Preamp, Mesa Graphic EQ pedal. Then out of the RJM into a TC Electronic G Major 2. Out in stereo into a Strymon Lex and Flint, Eventide Tricerachorus, and Free The Tone Future Factory Stereo Delay then return to each power section of the Ecstasy Heads. I also Have Bogner Uberschall I can swap for one of the Ecstasies. 2 Bogner 4x12 Cabs. Midi switcher is a RJM Mastermind GT-16. I think that about does it.

I have a Strymon Blue sky as my last pedal in the chain. Does that make a good output buffer?

I have two pedal rigs:

1) Boss CP-1X + Source Audio Ultrawave + Eventide H9

2) Line 6 HX Effects

Great episode fellas! Was wondering how you think the DD-200 stacks up in comparison to the 500? Obviously there's going to be less options, but is it almost as good in it's capabilities just in a smaller form factor? I have the MD and OD 200's, so I'm wondering if I should stick with the 200 series, or if it's worth the upgrade to the 500 on the delay. I run mostly a 4 cable method if that matters.

Why go mini pog or micro pog over a pitchfork ?

Boss Tuner (waza). DC-2 waza or CE-2 waza. Kingtone Duelist. Boss DD-6 or DD-8 w/ FS. Morley non-click wah ex. Bad Horsie. Those are my must have. Everything else is just interchangeable.

question, are vol.pedals and expression pedals the same? if they are different where would the expression pedal fall in the chain.

I have an "always on" tc electronics spark. Would you still have it after overdrive/distortion in an always on situation? Thanks!

Where can I find your list of recommendations?

Time Factors rule! Steep learning curve for me though. I think Mason nailed it with that Hardwire pedal Reverb-wise
