Shelter workers begin unprecedented strike over pay

More than 600 workers at the housing and homeless charity Shelter are beginning an unprecedented fortnight of strike action on Monday in a dispute over pay.

Unite said a 3 per cent pay increase this year has left many of Shelter’s own staff unable to pay their rent.

Great to see the woman in the brown coat is having a good time, don’t think homeless people with nowhere to live this Christmas or potentially losing their homes are going to feel all that sympathetic because she wasn’t happy with 3% wage rise.
