About 100,000 nurses across Britain went on strike on Dec 15 for 12 hours, from 8am to 8pm local time. This has happened for the first time in their union's 106-year history. It comes despite warnings that patients could be put at risk. The strike has resulted in an estimated 70,000 appointments, procedures and surgeries being cancelled.

They did the right thing as humanity.. Why should worker suffer when the mp sit comfortably in their office, not impacted by inflation, high cost n yet nurses should suffer. Every worker hv human right to awaken the leadership that we deserve better..

They need to look after nurses for sure though, burn out is certainly a thing and its very dangerous. Considering the amount of demand for this service, even a few hours of strikes could be an extremely bad situation for so many people who need them at their sides.

I was studying in the uk on 2019 and strike has been going on since then. That year year the lecturers went on strike then the rail workers. The following year there was another strike and now this. I wonder if those people have got what they wanted

Hope to see something like this happening in sg one day, workers should be allowed to stand up for their rights and welfare. If everyone in the same company boycotts their job on the same day, the company wouldn't be able to function. The culture in sg is too oppressive and full of yes man.

Sunak is talking nonsence. He claims that 19% is not affordable. Free transfer of Billions and Billions and Billions of money to Ukraine is affordable.
Looks like Ukraine is more important than UK.

Good for the nurses! Nurses in the UK are paid criminally low wages and so much is asked of them
