Updates since video aired:

Spanish Police have resumes their search efforts. here is the link to the latest info regarding their search and the case:

Hello everyone. I hope everyone had a good holiday; and is staying healthy, and safe.

In today's video, I will be discussing the disappearance of Esther Dingley.
Esther Dingley, 37 from Durham, England went missing on November 22, 2020 while hiking in the Pyrenees on the France/Spain border.

Esther had been traveling around Europe with her partner Dan Colgate for 6 years in their Fiat camper. The couple had been together for roughly 19 years.

At roughly 10.30am on Saturday, November 21, Ms Dingley, 37, set off up a mountain path from a spot known as Plan de l'Estany. It was the day before the Oxford graduate was last seen alive in the Pyrenees near the village of Benasque.

Please be respectful in the comments if you choose to leave them.

My thoughts and prayers 🙏 go out to the friends and family of Esther Dingley.

Thank you for watching!

Her remains have been found. Medical exam confirmed she fell from a height and her remains were likely scattered by animals. Incredibly sad, I hope she didn’t suffer. RIP

Lack of food, exhaustion, poor clothing and freezing weather conditions are not a good combination.

I think hiking alone is just a bad idea.

Women are very vulnerable when it comes to hiking and should always be armed in some way. I do not hike a lot, yet I have still run into quite a few creepy men, leading me to believe that there is a disproportionate amount of creeps on various trails.

You may think you are anonymous and random and safe but the psycho out looking for a victim has already got you sized up. Crime travels and it travels to where it's easy to commit, like in remote mountains.

Why are all these people going missing? so many stories. seemingly rational and physically able folks. Are people just getting lost? no maps/compass, no gps, no in-reach. i think people are just getting lost because they overestimate their navigational abilities. "oh, i won't miss or leave the trail..."; but day dream a little, the trail's gone; turn around, everything looks the same. people are too casual towards hiking in the wilderness, i think.

Just want to say, hiking alone is awesome. I encounter amazing people on trail and if they are weird you don't have to walk with them. Bring good first aid, have a plan and communicate with a designated contact person, have back up navigation, carry an emergency whistle. If possible, a sat com or plb. Point is, with some smarts and preparedness, it is perfectly safe to be out on trail alone. Bad things can also happen in your own backyard. Live life without fear!🙌

It isn't safe for a woman, or for anyone, but especially a woman, to go hiking alone.

The last people who allegedly saw her were a Spanish couple coming down the Pic de Sauvegarde. They talked to her around 3pm while she was going up alone. Some articles say the man is a former Olympic skier who was hiking with his girlfriend. According to him she did not look tired and was carrying a huge backpack

If the French police think there was no accident possible, they need to say why. Because, literally, anybody can twist an ankle and fall into a crevasse.

Excellent. Great report and you stuck to the facts, no wild speculations although certainly one could suspect the "paranormal" as in so many cases worldwide, but you didn't go there. I know that area a little, where Ms Dingle vanished. I've driven through the Pyrenees many times, and I must admit, it's quite a spooky place and I would never spend a night alone there: not in a hut or refuge, and certainly not in a tent. Hikes should be done in groups hiking closely together never allowing for any member to get separated by more than 5 yards. Cheers.

Feel the people touched by this tragic loss. I’ve been riding bikes in the Pyrenees for nearly forty years travelling down there. And I still class myself as totally inexperienced. I break a lot of the rules like riding alone. Traversing the mountains at night etc. I’m well aware one day my luck will run out. Sometimes I wonder when I hear these stories, I can’t help but think they are fellow travelers trying to navigate the depths of depression by pushing oneself to the limit in an attempt to relive the weight that is on your shoulders. 🍀
