Homemade cheesecake is easy and everyone will be impressed with this New York Cheesecake Recipe. The secret to a perfect cheesecake is using the water bath method!

CHEESECAKE CRUST INGREDIENTS:
►1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (from 12 crackers)
►6 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
►1 Tbsp granulated sugar

CHEESECAKE INGREDIENTS:
►2 1/4 lb (4.5 8-oz packages) cream cheese, room temperature
►1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
►6 large eggs, room temperature
►1/4 cup sour cream
►1/2 Tbsp vanilla extract

CHERRY SAUCE INGREDIENTS:
►4 cups sweet cherries (fresh or frozen), pitted*
►1/4 to 1/3 cup water
►1 Tbsp cornstarch
►1 Tbsp lemon juice
►2 Tbsp sugar

I made this cheese cake for our Thanksgiving dinner this year. It was a huge hit!! It turned out perfect! The only thing I did differently was had 2 tlb. Of sugar to the crust, for a little sweeter crust and used 16 graham crackers instead of 12, so it would be a little thicker crust. I truly appreciate you sharing your recipe, and the information of how to make this cake. It was pure perfection!! I used your recipe for the blueberry sauce for the topping! Yum

Good tutorial! The first time I tried this recipe, I followed it exactly and most of the components came out great - smooth, fluffy consistency, no cracks, good height, good flavor. There were two things I wasn’t satisfied with, first that the filling top turned out darker than pictured; and second, it didn’t taste as tangy as the NY cheesecake I’ve actually had in New York. I’m going to make another one today. I’m going to use a different brand of cream cheese and add a spoon of lemon juice. I have also bought a silicone water bath moat, which is safer and easier to use than wrapping aluminum foil.

I tried this receipe yesterday and its amazing. I had to use digestive biscuits, graham crackers are difficult to find. Only difference was my oven at 225 didn't do the job after 1hr 10 miinutes. I had to increase it to 350 for an additional 30 minutes. It came out PERFECT 👌 Thank you
