Bought a TRASHED MK5 GTI, Sight Unseen

I bought this 2007 GTI Fahrenheit sight unseen. In fact I flew to Indiana and picked it up to drive home. ITs #1172 of 1200 made in 2007. Will I make the 700 mile trip home? I hope so HA! Once we get it back to the shop, I'll shake it down for you. #shorts #shortvideo

Nice, was just gifted a Fahrenheit this Spring. Spent the Summer rebuilding it, new transmission, Turbo, Downpipe, Timing Belt/Water Pump, Rear Bearings, Brake Pads/Rotors, Rear Calipers, and HPFP/Cam Follower. Swapped out the Valve Head Cover Gasket too. Been a project. MK5 BPY are very easy to work on though thankfully

Recently bought a 2008 R32 sight unseen basically in PA and drove it 9 hours back to MA. Had it about a month n love the car so far!

To be fair, it's worth it for the color/car alone. Anything else can be fixed or replaced.

The wife's totally gonna fall in love with it once the minor bugs are worked out, probably.

I bought a 84 Monte Carlo sight unseen one time. Had body work with visable beer cans in the trunk. Got to drive it home over two hours (on the highway) with a seized closed front caliper. Good times.
