Lenovo's new Slim 7 Pro X is a unicorn laptop. If you are mostly looking for a good work machine, but you like to game a bit, this is a great value.

1080p would have been a better resolution to showcase the gaming, especially since its a 14" screen

Many thanks for the review. You can get it with a matte screen option at least over here in Germany, however it's unfortunate there is no USB4 and HDMI on the AMD Ryzen version

Thanks for the Review.

The newer Gen 8 model has the option for a rtx 4050 with 6gb VRAM (the yoga 9 line even boats a 4060 but I think it will not be much faster unless they allow it to push more watts).
That might help here, but to be honest the resolution is so high that I would not play at native but choose something like 2048x1280 (exactly two thirds of the resolution - and maybe 1536x960 on batly performing titles, exactly half of the resolution) - it should upscale well from there.
I've ordered the 7i model with the Intel Core i7 13700h (and the rtx 4050) - has better performance and offers thunderbolt and HDMI 2.1 (and 2 USB-C ports but unfortunately just one USB-A port). I think the battery life is not necessarily worse on intel - it depends on the exact configuration (there are various detailed tests notebookcheck of different models that I recommend).
I may post results later.

How could I optimize this pc for gaming? Like, is there some settings I could use to use all its potential?
This is beacuse when I play Valorant I feel it get a little bit hot easily, and too fast, and the fans are too loud, is a way to resolve this?

At 7:59 display scaling is set to 175%. Can you please check what is recommended value? If you click on drop down list, you should see value with (Recommended), what is that?

Could someone please help me out and tell me if this model would be good for using Lightroom and Photoshop for professional phot editing and using the AI Features specifically in both apps?

I'm not tech savvy at all but I did some research and
I just bought a Yoga 9i Gen 7 4k OLED and Lightroom isn't running well at all.I'm having issues with Lightroom constantly "not responding". It's made it unusable at this point. I can't afford to make a mistake again and buy something that won't run LR so I was hoping I could get some input on whether this specific laptop would be good for Lightroom and it's AI features ? Any help is MUCH appreciated.

At '70' I am officially an "old man", but I consider myself technologically adept, so I'm absolutely confused about how difficult the Lenovo Slim 7 Pro x is to power up. What gives? Where is the power switch to this thing anyway? Why is Lenovo being so 'cryptic' about just the very basic and simple things, like, "I cannot use my $1, 800 beautiful machine because I can't even see the international symbol/icon for 'power' button... ... ... this is silly. Any 'help' would be nice here. Tia!
