Next up is a big-budget indie movie “The Promise” starring Oscar Isa as the lead. With financial woes and geopolitics behind the scenes, the movie was doomed for failure. The movie had a $90 million budget and only grossed $10 million, worldwide.

And finally is the animated catastrophe “Mars Needs Mom” not only was this movie critically panned but it also lost over $100 million dollars at the box office. It’s hard to tell, but the movie was made on a whopping $150 million and only grossed $39 million back, that’s not even a third of the cost.
