Ads for $39 electric scooters are misleading

I've been looking at the 60v UTV's for sale $39 to $59 my husband and I are both disabled but live just a few blocks from Walmart was really thinking these Lil mini cars are perfect for us!! I ordered 2 of course my money was gone and I never received a note or card!!! I had to close my bank acct. Change my ATM card, change passwords and on and on. That was my Christmas money so we didn't get Christmas these people don't care who they hurt!!! But are there real ones our there for that price? They said they were out dated scooters cuzvof COVID so they are getting rid of them! We could really use um!!! Well thx for any info u have. The ad is plastered all over Facebook for these little coupe UTV cars, Shelly hargous

Judy Lehrman here. sad. I just did it & was so thrilled. Now I have to contact bank & stop it. On this long federal holiday. It said Amazon, which I trust. I need it so dang bad. I'll cry later.

These links probably lead to Chinese, or other sellers posing as legitimate stores or sites. I’ve seen many Facebook ads for these scooters and not just with the Costco or Walmart logo. They will often say things like last day or clearance. Sometimes they will use AI technology to make it look like it’s from QVC. And Sometimes the prices are as high as $79. But, all they will do is lie to people and provide bogus tracking numbers. They may say things like “it’s on the way“ or just not respond at all. I must’ve reported at least 25 ads for these mobility scooters. Facebook and the government need to do something.

The ads are on YouTube the entire month of June! I'm disabled living on SSI/Disability & now with the gov. SNAP program giving only $130 a month for food, Medicare dragging their feet to replace my battery on my old scooter, I was desperate needing some way to get to the food pantry at my church. I fell for it... I did receive something... a sad little plastic $2 bottle. Shame on me for being so hopeful that I had a bit of luck, for a change, to fall for this SCAM. But shame on YouTube for keeping the ad up for more then 2 months. And now in July, it's still on the internet... still looking as slick as ever with all the lovely positive reviews. Please let everyone know it's still under QVC too.

Oh they got me all right I did get this plastic looking dollar store looking cheap vac I don’t know it didn’t even work and was no scooter but then I started also getting a bunch of charges and I had only used my card with them and the groceries store it was not a grocery store I got taken for I believe it was $39.99 plus additional fee for delivery which was under $20 but after that I had 2 more charges for 39.99 then I stopped card it was my cash app they don’t refund your money very good so be careful if you get taken using cash app they don’t care

I too fell for this scam and I am disabled and it's hard for me to get around paid for it and nothing...called my bank disputed it and my bank credited it back to my account. NEVERR again 😢😢

I too have seen the ad for $39.99 for a scooter which I know for a fact is false since I own one of the scooters exactly like the ones in the ad and I paid 2300 for mine and that was on sale so $39 no definitely a scam if you can get a scooter for less than a thousand or 2, 000 for that matter you better buy it right up because they are not cheap but they're worth every penny if you get it from a reputable dealer so anyway the ones on Facebook one hundred percent of scam in my opinion thank you
