Why we train Fa Jin in Yang Taiji Quan?

Training to Fa-Jin is a process to increase the internal power. We can apply this power to any type of technique, not only pushing people.

Sorry for my poor English in the video.

Why do your training partner jump like a cat? I cannot observe the strength of your fa jin.

As a Taiji teacher I appreciate you describing Fa Jin as a type of force and not a magical power. Thank you! 您說對了!

Liang Laoshi is one of the very few people who can explain taiji principles clearly

Number one your student is jumping. Also I fully understand the medicinal benefits of your art but there is NO practical fighting aspect of this style.

Very very good explanations and demos !!! He is a really good teacher. Frankly speaking, if you have trained Taiji for some time, you will understand what Sifu Liang said. In my experience, I will never be as good as Sifu Liang . But his teaching will help me improve my Taiji skills and upgrade me at the same time. Thanks !!!

what will it give me if my opponent jumps like a hare? 😏

It's like he's just talking to himself.
He gives no instruction here. Like not ONE instruction was given. I LITERALLY have nothing to practice at home, maybe I missed the point of the vid.

This is great thank you so much. I have had so many students come through my classes that are completely confused about "fa jin". I usually just tell them to spend more time training and less time talking. But, every now and then i will explain what is jin and what is release. Very simple. And then they don't believe me hahaha! So back to training. Now i can just have them watch your videos on the YouTube. You have made a few others too that explain some Taiji topics that are very good. I think probably the I've seen anywhere on the Internet.

Thank you so much for sharing; you give so very freely. Your English is better than mine and I'm English. I find you explanations both insightful and inspiring. I thank you, as do my students for helping me to help them ☯️

Thanks so much sifu Liang, for teaching and helping me to understand, as well as to deepen my knowledge on this often confusing subject of internal jin.

Thank you sincerely from Canada!

Your English is fine, my understanding of the concepts needs help ... when COVID is over. ;-). Is my understanding correct?
I *grab* him with Na-Jin or use Hua-Jin to *neutralize* his resistance so that I can *push* with Fa-Jin ?
Also, am I trying to *up-root and release* using Ti Fang [when I use Hua-Jin or Na-Jin], so I can then use Fa-Jin to *push* him?
