There is a total advantage to having a run...the chickens have a knack for getting in our garden when they free range...but we do like them out and about getting bugs!

Too cool! Right now, my chickens only have an 8 x 6 wood/roof/wire run area, (5 chickens), it would be awesome to build them something like this. We have hawks and turkey vultures like crazy. 🇺🇸💚

I would think coons could chew right through that bird netting. I have chicken wire on top of my current run, that has been in place for probably 10 years. We are building a new coop and run and had planned on using 2x4 woven wire on the sides and top of the run.
