Do you ever think human evolution is a little slow? What if we cranked up the speed and had you evolve 1,000 years in one day? In what ways would your appearance change? How would new technology shape your life? How would it change the way you think? What would nanobots and artificial intelligence help with?

00:00 Is human evolution too slow?
00:38 Could we be immortal with 1000 years of evolution?
02:00 Nanobots enhancing our natural abilities.

Not completely out of the realm of possibility. Evolution is supposed to take a long time, but elephants and rhinos are already evolving to not have tusks. I wonder what circumstances would force humans to evolve in that short amount of time

So basically 356000 years of evolution in a single year. Boy count me in for becoming a mutant

Finally a What If video where the world doesn't end.

"Do you ever think that the human evolution is slow"
Bro do you even realize than in 100.000 years we moved from caves into experiencing caves in metaverse. As my teacher once said, It's as If somebody or something wanted us to make a big step forward and skip nature's normal progress.

As we rely more on technology, we gradually loose the ability to do things we could previously do before.

"Be patient then. You are growing slowly because you are growing something important. Things that grow quickly die quickly. Things that happen just like that are gone in the next moment. Great accomplishments are born of great preparation. When you ask yourself, “What can I do to support the evolution of life here? What can I do to find the foundation of my purpose? What can I do to develop the state of mind that is necessary?” I say prepare, observe and be honest. You will know the form of preparation when it comes to you, though you may resist it and attempt to deny it. It will be the right thing at the right time for you."

I warmly recommend checking out this awesome and free book online.

I’m really curious what would happen if we rigged a tube or a pipe from the surface of the earth to space. Would it create an incredibly strong vacuum? How powerful would it be?

I would be 7.83 million years old by now from 2000 when I was born to this fine day, WoW that's why I love What if so much, Keep Up the good work guys

this takes: "40 thousand years of evolution and we barely even tapped the vastness of human potential" to another level

IF EARTH'S HISTORY WERE CONDENSED INTO 24 HOURS, THE DINOSAUR EXTINCTION HAPPENED
AT 11:41 PM AND HUMANS EMERGED AT 11:58 PM. ALL OF RECORDED HISTORY HAPPENED IN LAST 3 SECONDS.
It's amazing, isn't it 🧐🤨✌️

Um... interesting stuff, but I think ya'll got a little distracted on this one. The episode title is "What If You Evolved 1, 000 Years in a Day?" NOT "What If We Used Nanobots and Technology to Speed Up the Evolutionary Process." Yeah, this video became less of a What If, and more of a how tech would make evolution faster.
I was expecting an explanation of biological evolution, not an artificial evolution through tech.
I was looking to see how various activities performed over the day could influence the traits, features and abilities one would acquire if 1000 years of evolution could occur within your body in a 24 hour period. For example: If you decided to spend some of that 24 hour period swimming, then you could develop webbed hands and feet, maybe even gills to breathe underwater, if not a greater lung capacity to help you stay submerged longer. Ya know... evolutionary stuff that we see reflected in whales, hippos, and other marine/amphibious creatures.
Again, the tech stuff is fun, but it really didn't cover evolution so much as enhancement. True it can be considered its own form of evolution, but even the beginning of the video addressed more biological and environmental factors as the influence to our evolution. Then, the nanobots just went totally tech scifi as opposed to factoring in how actual modern day elements would affect us. It just felt like too much of a deviation to me. It is cool and fun, but I don't think we're really talking about evolution once we hit the 2 minute mark. At that point nanomachines just take up too much of the conversation. It's no longer evolution at that point because there's no longer talk about a response to outside stimuli. The conversation just shifts to what nanobots could do; machines creating a change according to our wants instead of us changing to in response to the world and situations around us out of necessity or even through what we practice. I hope that my point is clear there.
Can I kindly ask that you upload a video that does explore the differences in biological evolution; say like how an Olympic runner might evolve differently in relation to a swimmer? Stuff like that. No scifi cybernetics and nanobots, just human evolution in response to what we can actually do and influence, and be influenced by. You started this video out that way, so I'd like to see more on that topic now that we've covered machines and artificial enhancement, which is not evolution. Call it technical evolution if you want, but I would like to see a video that would cover 1000 years of BIOLOGICAL evolution in 1 day. Please, thank you, and I hope this reads with well.
Anyway, cool stuff. Awesome job! Much respect to the channel and everyone involved.

Genetically, I'd say we're more likely to devolve because we've grown dependent on technology

You evolve to fit your environment, and also 1000 years is pretty much nothing on an evolutionary time scale

This video is describing evolution by artificial means rather than natural selection. Although this is likely our future, I'd like to see a video about what if natural selection were accelerated.

I got the concept and enjoyed this video but id like to see what would happen if our bodies evolved naturally, without the technological enhancers, considering the changes currently happening in our planet! By example what if u evolved to live in hotter temperatures or with less oxygen!
