A nightmare for Nino! Nino needs a top-13 finish to secure the 2023 overall win, so long as Jordan Sarrou finishes outside of the top 10. He was in 8th when his chain dropped and has now fallen back to 11th! He's going to have to do everything in his power to not leave this one to chance.

I'm surprised they are not running a chain guide all for a measly few grams weight saving 🤦I rather chain guide for a tiny weight penalty so you prevent this happening.

Tricky to get the chain back on a 1x narrow-wide ring, especially in a race.

As a pro bike mechanic this is hard to has the clutch on 😅😅😅 that when I raced downhill we had triple chainrings and no clutch derailleur so you would have to stay in the big ring to keep the tension high but you would still drop chain all the time but 8speed drive train is alot more forgiving you can just downshift and pedal what mountain bikes have become 😊😊😊😊

There’s something to be said for front derailleurs. 👍🏻

How come this be better than a 2x10 M4120? Just downshift and power on

wouldn't have happened if he used a double ring crankset with a front derailleur

Se nota la falta de práctica poniendo una cadena en el plato

Really poor that he doesn't know how to put a chain back on quickly and properly.

A mini adventure but a lesson learned. Hopefully the capsule is comfortable and you can sleep properly.

All the 2x and 3x curmudgeons with frothy mouths commenting here are hilarious. Nino won 8 world championships on 1x. Eat that.
