This reminds me of the time Cameron, as then PM lecturing the Nigerian premier on corruption, only to be named himself in the Panama Papers that were released only a few months later 😂😂😂

In the UK, corruption is a privilege that the rich have reserved for themselves.

What about Nigeria ? It had been too long since Alastair Campbell hadn’t heard the sound of his own voice.

He forgot to mention the corruption in his former party. No delivery is required for the kickbacks in the UK.

What about the corruption here in the UK, why don’t we stop looking at others and start looking at ourselves.

"I don't know where I saw this" well that inspires confidence

That's the only difference, in africa you make a friend you could become a millionaire over night, in the UK and the West, corruption is shares, insider trading, lobbying, jobs in the area you were just overseeing etc like nikki halley becoming a millionaire in 4 years of a no show consultancy job, thats corruption the average person will never access.
But people are told work hard and its your fault if you dont make it.

The idea that this war criminal is still in the public realm amazes me.

Aaaagh. I really wanted to hear about Nigeria!
We live in South Africa, where the government is both corrupt and destructively incompetent. 😭

where can I see the full interview? can anyone share the link? Had Campbell not interrupted, it would have been nice to know the % of commission Nigerians needs?

In Britain, corruption is just called politics.

In the UK, where corruption on the national level is effectively legalised, you simply fund the Conservative Party and wait for the contracts to come your way. If you’re lucky, they will even change the law so you pay less taxes.
On the local level, if you want your real estate project to be given planning permission or a tax break, you simply fund the local Tory MP’s election campaign and it’s sorted. Robert Jenrick got caught with that but explained it was normal. Which is true, actually…

That's not a bribe, it's an administration fee.
