One of our school teachers broke it down as none of us spoke te reo, was something like this:
Toe- mutter- far car- tangi- hanga- core- oh - oh - or - tama - tea- a - to - re - pooh - car - car - picky - mown - ga - whore - raw - noo- coo - poor - kai - fenua - key - tongue - a - tar - who.
It made it easier although there's a lot of mispronunciation.

Ka pai koe Sharon .It's quite a mouthful .Easier to sing as in my Youtube version of Peter Cape's old song from the 1950's.Cheers.
