Fredericton is the cultural and legislative capital of New Brunswick. It has a lot to offer in terms of affordable housing, educational facilities, parks, restaurants and is very family friendly. Fredericton has a population of approximately 60,000 people and is the 3rd largest city in New Brunswick. If you are a tourist coming here for the first time, I would recommend coming in the summer to have the most activities available because it does get a lot quieter in the other seasons. Join me for a tour of the downtown part of the city and get my first impressions of what you can expect when coming here!

You just made me appreciate my home town so much. Seeing it through your eyes really made me realize that Fredericton is gorgeous, and that I've been taking it for granted. Thank you

I went to Fredericton for a weekend in December many years ago on business . I had a room at the Lord Beaverbrook Hotel right next to the river. Overnight it snowed and continued to snow all day. The river created a mist and all the trees had layer of ice. It was beautiful. I found the houses charming. Being a capital it's well maintained. I loved it. My customer recimmended a place for lunch called Joe's Diner. It was a long trailer with a counter and stools. I hope its still there. Thanks for the tour Alina.

Harriet and I were there in the summer of 2017. We have friends that live there. If you want a place to simply chill yet still enjoy the art exhibits and festivals, not to mention the tasty food.
This is your kind of place. We're so glad you managed to visit it. It's so worth a return visit. Again, thank you for the wonderful memories we had of Fredericton. Sending you much love❤

What a wonderful town, surrounded by an incredible nature. I love the park along the river banks. Everywhere is so clean and quiet! Canada is fantastic and also the food looks amazing! Thank you Alina. Your videos are always beautiful.

Fredericton was made the capital back in 1785. Saint John was the capital at first (and also the oldest incorporated city in Canada), but it was thought that it best to relocate the capital inland, instead of on the ocean, so as to make it harder to attack the capital. Generally if you attack and capture the capital, you pretty much control the whole area that the capital controls

Fredericton is the "Hipster" Capital of NB. I was posted at Base Gagetown for 4 years and went in there plenty. The downtown has really grown into a gorgeous place. The river walk is amazing. All along the Woodstock road is incredible. I put my money down on it being the coolest, most livable, most beautiful small capital in all of Canada! Charlottetown could challenge for top spot!

I lived there for a year 94/95. It gets hot there in the Summer and Saskatchewan like in the Winter, quite the temperature range. Beautiful city, lived downtown on the South shore. Downsides, electric heat only where I was living; PST was high, and Provincial tax rate was high. Also, wages were low.

Safe and clean city yes, however it is far from cheap, has a homeless problem along with low wages and summer/construction season is a nightmare.

Great video and brings back a lot of memories. I lived in Fredericton from 1985 to 1990. There used to be a McDonald's on the north side (not sure if it still there) where I worked as a night shift maintenance worker for a year before attending UNB. In the summers we used to play soccer on the greens by the river near the art gallery. I loved the city and the people and really hope to be able visit there again. Thanks again for this video.
