Crayfish are really cool freshwater crustaceans or...lobsters. Catching them is pretty fun, but gotta watch out for those claws!!

I always found that the bigger the claw, the less it hurt. It was the small ones that hurt more.

Could he just grab it? Sure. Chris is obviously not scared to get hurt by a small crawfish, but he's a naturalist and educator, so I appreciate the care with which he handles these creatures. The goal isn't to throw them in a bucket and cook them later, but to catch them, educate and release them unharmed. I'd say job well done, Chris.

Do you mean my brothers play with those things more bored it wasn’t really hurts like grandma near nipple and that hurts then we catch yellow perch the stuff we like thorough Matic other you ever have a yellow perch piercing in the back of the head and stick there. It is very weird feeling.

meanwhile in Louisiana when we're cleanin' the mud off those mudbugs in those big pots getting ready to boil them, we just stick our hands down into about 40# of those things and swirl them around.

Those claws won’t do anything to you… I was catching crayfish 4 times that size at 8 years old
