I think a Hollywood live action could work for series that mix a lot a cultures together such as cowboy bebop or fullmetal alchemist and tell a side story kind of like the cowboy bebop movie. With a diverse cast, you won't isolate audiences and if you tell a side story, you can expand the universe without having to ruin the reputation of a series. So if it fails, we can just call it non-canon and go on our way. This happened with dragon ball GT, this shouldn't be any different.

At this point I would normally suggest leaving the live action movies to the Japanese but after what happened to the Attack on Titan Movie I think we should not make live action movies based on anime period

Heh, I remember when James Cameron first said he was going to direct Battle Angel in the 90's and it practically became the Duke Nukem Forever of anime adaptations with how many times he's said he was still going to direct it and that it was still going to happen over the years. Fast forward to now and the movie is finally happening only with him producing, not directing. Honestly, I'm glad it's finally being made so when it fails like every other single anime adaptation, I never have to hear/read him talking about it again.
