For smaller lines I used the Spartan Model 81 (work provides) however the portability of the drill type snakes really appeal to me. Looks like its pretty solid. The newer Spartan Model 718 is a drill type snake they off but its practically double the price of the Milwaukee.

M18 snake is my go to for small drains little bit more expensive but well worth it

I have one. I use a 1/4” cable in it and only use it for old copper tub lines and 1.25” sink lines that my general pipe cleaners with the 5/16” cable won’t push through. They’re handy for small drains but I do like the power and auto feed on the power vee better for most jobs. But on old houses with those small copper branch lines the m12 is great

I use the rigid hand crank one with the tip on the back to use a drill with it. I like how it has a trigger handle that when you squeeze it it feeds the snake forward while spinning. I did have to take the screws off and weld the centerpiece a bit to make it stronger after my strong drill snapped it off. With the spot welds it works great!

Good afternoon, my kitchen sink is clogged and is causing problems in basement because it’s right above sink. Will this help me unclog sink? I assume yes but need reassurance

I use the same drain snake. Some background on me, i Work for Roto-Rooter in an area of the country notorious for their drain issues as a lead technician woth 20 + years drain experience. Love it for sinks where you jump the trap, and shower/tub drains. I use same size cable but stiffer that won't jump a trap on a tool with an air switch for sinks where I take the trap off. Also has 75' of cable. Cleanouts normally get a spartan 300 with. 55 cable or a 1065.

Small piece of advice, cut the silly end off and use channel locks to kink the end how best works for you. I normal run a Z but can change it to an L or whatever I feel will work best.

I like these and have always preferred the duracable 1/4 for small branches. Though I was trained with the duracable

Hey I noticed that the tip of the cable has a slight angle, on snake cables that has a straight bulb tip should I put a slight bend on it. Thanks for the informative video

I like it alot. Just wished the cable is longer. You have the buy a longer cable separate

Do you think this will work on a stuck tub drain lever where the plunger will not open or close the drain?

I use the super v with 1/4" x 50' cable.

Been using the Ridgid K-45 with autofeed. It’s paid for itself 10X over. The downside is it is corded.

I use the Rigid K 9-12. No issues with it.
