Today's video covers baker's cyst treatment strategies including four rehab exercises that can help reduce pain, improve knee mobility and strength. A baker's or popliteal cyst is a fluid-filled swelling located behind the knee that can cause pain and limit one's ability to move their knee through its full range of motion. Baker's cysts are usually due to a problem within the knee joint, such as arthritis or a cartilage injury. When the underlying issue it treated, the baker's cyst will usually go away and won't come back.

Interesting..I've never heard of a Baker's cyst in my life. You didn't play your intro music 🎶 this time! At 3:20 you said you can hold that position for 60 minutes, but i guess you meant 60 seconds. That is always the first stretch I do because it feels good. Thanks for the info Tom! ❤😊

Thank you so much for the great and fun exercise. It's an excellent introduction. Exercises using a ball may not be easy to do if our core muscles are not strong enough. Dr.Tom takes care of your health very well. I like today's scene too.

Hi! I just had my baker's cyst aspirated. I did very intense style of yoga, religiously for 10 years and then transitioned to weight lifting over the past 5 years. I have maintained a good amount of mobility thanks to yoga and have no knee pain, but have had knee stiffness after sitting too long or doing leg day at the gym. My knee also started locking out last summer. Long story short, I discovered that I had a baker's cyst a few months ago. The underlying issue has not been identified, but because I can essentially run, lift weights, do the splits, it makes it identifying the issue more complicated. After finally having it aspirated this week, I have combed the internet - as a very active person with a wide range of motion, what is the rehab program for me? Thank you!
