IN OLD DBD HOOKS GAVE KILLERS AWAY

Another fact about old DBD that I wanted to use in my next long video but then I had to scratch the idea. In old DBD hooks spawned based on the killer and not on the map. So it used to completely give away what killer you were going against before you even saw them.

I knew about the fact that before of the hook rework, the hooks could have been sabotaged and be gone forever. There was no respawn time

I hate the fact that when you're playing as Freddy the survivors will already know that as soon as the match starts because of the dream world countdown

It would be cool to select your hook as skin if you own the killer or maybe presrige them to a certain level

Of course an easy work around is to have killer specific hooks but they are invisble to survivors until first down

I think that would actually would be a really cool idea and I think they can add customizable hooks so you can buy hook skins rather than it being based on the killer and ruining stealth

alien has its own hook, regardless of the map

There was actually a recent bug where this happened when playing against The Xenomorph and all hooks in the map would be the hooks from Alien’s map despite the realm the match took place in. This has since been patched.
