If found it’s tough building into the five fingers from regular shoes-safe and happy running🙏🏼

Altra fan. I’m a hiker. I love the Superior but Lone Peak is my very close 2nd choice.

I love when I look for a specific video and find it. This and your previous review were exactly what I needed, great information. Thank you! By the way, you should try to look into the camera lens more instead of yourself in the screen ;)

Great review. What would you reccomend for rocky trails? Plus I have very wide feet. Thank you!

Hey; big Altra fan - done loads of reviews - nice comparison. Love the superior, great ground feel and cushion but the Olympus 4 got my shoe of 2020..
(Have the king mt 2 coming soon). Need the lone peak 5 ASAP... ! You got my sub 👍

Thanks for the review. Subscribed. I have the Superior 4.0 and looking at the 4.5. Would you say the upper is more secure in the Superior 4.5? An issue i have with the upper on the 4.0 is that it allows my foot to move around too much on technical terrain. I like them a lot though, and get great heel lock after swapping the original laces with Lock Laces. I just wish the traction was as good as the LPs. I'd love to even see Vibram Megagrip on them one day but will take any improvement.
I like a lot about the LPs but i agree with you on them not being great in technical terrain. Like you, i came to Altra from wearing VFFs, Vivo, etc. and the LPs feel wobbly and unsafe to me when it comes to rocks, roots and anything uneven, so i also prefer the Superior's lower stack there. If you ever review the LP 5, i'd be curious to know if they're any different in this regard.
Have you tried the Saucony Mad River TR (version1)? They feel to me like they have some of what the LPs are missing regarding stability. They run surprisingly wide with a 4mm drop at 23/19mm and are customizable in some neat ways. Cheers!
