I do all of these, I tuck in my shirts to expose the rivets and patch on my jeans, this adds character because it ads a little color to your outfit without looking garish, also since I’m a shorter guy it makes my legs look taller. I love leather so I carry a briefcase, hats, I could never pull if off

Honestly, I wish I wore hats less often, but I'm one of those guys referenced that has lost hair, and although I'm not ashamed of it, I do feel like I just look better in hats, so they give me a little more confidence.

Nahh messenger, briefcase etc make my shoulder aches. Backpack is waaayyyy more practical. Does the shoulder pain really worth the "stylish" look? I don't think so

Problem is I need to fit laptop and gym clothes and towel in my bag. Right now Im using a Timbuk2 messenger bag for it, any ideas on leather messenger bags big enough? Cant find one!

I disagree with the backpack. There are plenty of nice, classy looking backpacks that are functional. Just stop wearing the one you wore in high school. Leather ones are usually a good option or ones that keep it minimal like from Aer or Boundary.

A backpack isn't about being stylish it's about practicality. What's the point in straining your neck and spine just to look stylish carrying around your overloaded messenger bag to work. Meanwhile i have my laptop and everything comfortably sitting on my back on my way to work
