Maureen McGovern's High Notes
Показать описание
Maureen McGovern's high notes galore!
"I'm Happy Just to Dance with You" (with the high F) was obviously lipped but I'm rather pleased that there's a clip of that performance.
Some notable high notes (correct me if I'm wrong about those notes):
1. F#6 in "Fascinating Rhythm" (1:44)
2. Several B♭5's and B5's in "Porgy, I's Yo' Woman Now", a duet with Jubilant Sykes (1:54 and 3:16)
3. A cadenza leading up to a B5, followed by an E♭6 in "Art Is Calling For Me" (3:56)
4. B♭5 in "Different Worlds" (4:49)
5. Several D6's in "Listen to the Mockingbird" (6:57 and 8:00)
6. Possible F♯6 or G♯6/A6 in "Pavane" (8:12 and 9:00)
7. G6 in "Listen to the Mockingbird" (8:54)
8. Possibly her highest note, B♭6 in "Scat Diva" at 9:36.
9. Mutiple F6's, F♯6's and G6's of piccolo imitation in "Stars and Stripes Forever" from "Strike Up The Band" (9:46)
10. Multiple F6's in "(If You Can't Sing It) You'll Have To Swing It (Mr Paganini)" (10:42)
I'm not sure about the notes she sang in the following songs though:
1. Tip Toe thru the Tulips with Me (0:23) - possible D6/E♭6 topping at A6
2. Rhapsody in Blue (0:42) - possible B♭5 & E♭6
3. What A Way To Go (2:57) - possible F6/F♯6
4. Oh Lawd, I'm On My Way (4:16) - possible B5
5. The Lady is a Tramp (4:38) - possible G6/G♯6
6. Flight of the Bumblebee (4:56) - possible C6's to E6's
7. Blues in the Night (5:14) - possible G5, B5 & C6
8. It's So Bad For Me (5:28) - possible B5's & C♯6's
9. I Can Cook Too (5:54) - possible G6
10. Smile, duet with Jerry Lewis (6:28) - possible F♯5's, G♯5's & B5's
11. I Got Rhythm (7:26) - possible C♯6's & E♭6's, peaking at F♯6/G6
