I was 17 years old in 1969. This is my first concert that I saw the carpenters. I will never forget it. I am now 71 years old and I still remember all these songs probably word for word.

Fantabulous lyrics. As an introvert who’s always dependent on one special person wherever I go, I completely feel the lines. I feel like I won’t last a day without that special one.

My cat just passed on today. He was sick for a while. He would be 15 human years old in a few months. This song just kept playing in my head when I made the decision to bring him to the vet again for the final time.

I love you Simba and I know you’re sleeping in a better place with no pain ❤️

This is my first time listening to this song, I am a GenZ, not a fan of 80's and 90's songs, but the moment i heard the song and it made me imagine the beauty of the former generation, 😻 I can imagine how old generation enjoy their lives, without being held captive by social medias and technologies.

My first memories of this song go waaaay back...I was only 6 or 7 living with my single, working mom who had to take me to a day care in the mornings before school because she had to be at work very early, so a sweet elderly lady then drove me to school after breakfast each morning. I seem to rememeber her name was Mrs. Corbitt. She so kindly let me listen to the radio as we drove. This song played on those mornings and made me feel so happy. Every time I hear this song, it brings back that memory. So, I can say, I've loved this song for 50 years !!

As a kid growing up in Manchester in the 70's, I had no idea of the gift my parents were giving me through playing music in the house and on car journeys. Buddy Holly, ABBA, The Carpenters, Nat King Cole, The Beatles, Elvis, Simon & Garfunkel, the list goes on & on. I did the same with my kids and now I do it for my Grandkids. Sing-a-longs in the car which to them are fun but to me are priceless.
