If you opt for the one-time fee activation, you will need to pay $5 for each individual mobile device you want to use the Plex app on. This means that while a Plex Pass covers all devices under a single subscription, the one-time fee does not allow for unlimited access across multiple devices; each device requires its own activation fee. Informative video, but I feel like the biggest benefit of Plex Pass was not discussed: GPU rendering. If you have your own personal media server running with multiple people accessing it, sometimes the CPU struggles to serve the content without MAJOR load. This is especially true with 4K content. But with Plex Pass you can offset some of that transcoding workload to your GPU for better performance and quality for the viewer.

Hi I do have a question that I can't find an answer. I have everything set up with my server's on Nas devices . The Plex pass you mentioned it's required to access playback on an android phone, does this also include android TV as I can't get video playback on this TV only

Why do none of the Plex pass tutorials answer the most common question? That question is: does paying for Plex pass remove the ads from movies? I’m thinking it may not and they don’t advertise this because most, like myself, just assume that paying for it removes those ads. So by not advertising that, a certain amount of potential subscribers will just pay for it thinking that it will remove ads. And they may think that if they answer that question, and the answer is that it doesn’t remove the ads, that would substantially decrease the amount of subscribers. Please make a video like this and explain whether or not the Plex pass removes ads from movies! Thanks so much!
