My Scary Little Sister

We all wonder about our younger siblings - we have to - little brothers and little sisters are sometimes crazy, or weird, or wild, it's just the way they are. But, some, and maybe a very are few, are actually creepy, even a little scary - perhaps sometimes, evil. This is one of those scary stories, creepy stories, paranormal stories.

Dani's little sister was like that. Not evil, we'd never say that, but just scary in that scary movie little kid kind of way. A little Chucky, a little Shining, a little Paranormal Activity - or maybe just a lot of mischief, but no matter what, Dani had a scary little sister. And this is a storytime that you will not forget any time soon.

When she was babysitting for her one night, and her sister was no more than two years old, could hardly talk, she freaked Dani out by putting together a perfect sentence - the only problem was, what she said - "There's a man in the hallway." She said it in this calm and creepy voice, not like her toddler attempts at all. She has never been so scared in her life. Where there ghosts in the house? Was the house haunted? Was this paranormal activity?

It didn't help that Dani had just watched a scary movie about a little kid being possessed, but it wasn't just that one thing. There was more - like when Dani was sitting and playing with her little sister and she stopped and pointed and just said "baby on the wall", and another time when she heard her little sister crying out from her crib while she was up late doing her homework. Dani ran to her, picked her up, and when she asked her what was the matter she said "man in the closet." "My little sister is possessed", she thought to herself. This is not a scary killer clown hoax, or the story of bloody mary, this was real."

Dani told her parents about it, about all of it, but they just laughed it off like it was normal behavior for a two-year old. And still, there is something twisted about Dani's sister - like when they went to see Trolls and her sister rooted for the bad guys and was totally upset when the trolls were safe in the end. Weird.

Dani loves her little sister of course, but, there is something about her that will always make her wonder if she is evil, paranormal or possessed. Wouldn't you? Regardless, she probably should call her "my scary little sister", or maybe she'll grow up to be a witch! Why she is the way she is will likely always be a mystery and while it's a bit unnerving for Dani right now, she's okay with that.

I remember this little girl at the movie theater. So many kids got scared when they saw the part when the trolls got in the pot, she was the only little kid that was laughing. I was creeped out. When they escaped, she got really bored after that😐
