Best cars for teen drivers

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and Consumer Reports are out with a list of recommended vehicles for teen drivers. Kristine Lazar reports.

Sorry but most parents can't afford a new car for themselves or their kids. Most parents are looking for 12yo+ cars that are under $5k for their kids. CBS would love for us to get stuck with even more consumer debt. And our kids.

For safety it will cost the parents more than $20K. For twice that I would suggest a Tesla Model Y AWD long range. It’s the safest car in the world. And the big advantage is, the parents can password protect the top speed of the car. All car makers need to adopt that feature.
Also zero maintenance. Tires just wear out faster, so extra on that.

EV for teens ? No way. Forget about sustainability and climate change . The safety come in first. I don't understand why schools emphasize on climate change and sustainability. STOP THAT.
