Talking about depression there is an ongoing debate about the difference between burnout and depression. While some authors contend that burnout is a syndrome in its own right others argue that is nothing more than job-related depression. Apparently there is growing evidence suggesting that burnout is indeed a depressive condition rendering the burnout construct useless.
