Jordan Peterson is the father I never had and the mentor I never knew I needed. I went from suicidal drug addict of 20 years to making my bed and getting my shit together in one year thanks to him inspiring hope in me. I’ve just celebrated 1 year of sobriety and now I’m studying to become a counsellor and volunteering in my community. I owe JP such a huge debt of gratitude for kicking me up the arse.

About 2 years ago, I was 100 pounds overweight, was bullied at school, and socially isolated. I have managed to finally get in shape after a long hard journey of never giving up, and wanting to prove to myself and everyone who didn't believe in me, that I AM able to do hard things. I AM able to achieve greatness. I pushed myself outside my comfort zone by join my school's track and football team. I started engaging with people who I simply assumed would be mean to me and they weren't. I stopped crying and started WORKING. Remember, YOU ARE WHO YOU CHOOSE TO BE!
