“Deep Water” Movie Review

The movie “Deep Water“ released on 18th March’22 is based on the 1957 novel by Patricia Highsmith. This movie marks the return of director Adrian Lyne after 2 decades. His last was “Unfaithful”. The screenplay revolves around a man who is rich and doesn't need to slog for more money. He is in love with his family and is obsessed with the definition. He wants to remain in denial of the shortcomings which life puts him into. Ben Affleck is a cool actor who just twists his arm and he is done. He is an actor with limited-expression and huge impact. Ana de Armas is a Spanish actor who is carefree and here attracted to everything which is short-lived, ignoring the basics that in a way to do so she is making enemies. Adrian Lyne, who is 81 years old is also the maker of “Fatal attraction” & “Indecent proposal” knows this subject well. He has an experience of a lifetime. In this psychological thriller, he sets his viewers free to carve their paths without wasting much time on what is and what isn't. Key questions:- 1) Shouldn't we accept the difference and let it go? 2) Does becoming a parent gives you the right to become limitless in your action? 3) Does the child needs a look of a happy family like a well-decorated bouquet or do they need to face the truth and accept what it is? 4) Does chasing a feeling and giving it a name of a person who doesn't reciprocate helps? 5) Does getting caught makes us a criminal only? If we are lucky enough to escape does that mean you can lead a normal life? 6) If we decide to make someone’s life miserable. Will it be affirmation or mental sickness (psycho)? Not sure if we have answers to all these questions tonite. Do comment below. In the end, all that BOAE feels is “Parenting is a tremendous responsibility, we just can't have a dream of a happy life and start a family without being very sure that the other person is equally involved in it. In addition, we can't treat our children in a way we wish & expect them to have a bright future.
