2018 Ford Mustang GT Premium: Start Up, Exhaust, Test Drive and Review

Today we take a look at the Brand New 2018 Ford Mustang GT Premium!
This is the 2018 Ford Mustang GT Premium equipped with the 10 Speed Automatic Transmission! Super clean looking font end with sharp lines. I did not like this design when I first saw pictures and videos, but in person it looks very aggressive!

The interior is premium feeling with nice leather and aluminum trim.

The new 12in digital gauge cluster looks amazing with the different modes. It is similar to what Audi has done with their new virtual cockpit, and in Sport and Track mode it reminds me of an Aventador SV.

The V8 is plenty powerful and sounds amazing with the active exhaust! The 10 speed automatic shifts pretty quick when accelerating, but sometimes can seem to shift a bit slow if you not on the throttle that much. Overall the is a very well rounded modern American Muscle Car!

I would happily pay $50k for an almost 500hp at the crank car. These Mustang GT’s are underated big time and so much tech installed. I personally love the manual trans but auto’s have their place as well. Just my .02. Great video!

I think you will find that yes Ford says the new Mustang is 460 hp but it lies! I’ve seen several vinyl runs now they put the car in the very high 490 hp range almost 500 hp

Not all auto equipped GT's are quick. Base 300A GT's with the auto come standard with 3.15 gears, but not the toggles with drive mode. So there's only one "normal " drive mode. These cars won't touch 60 mph in under 4.3 sec. zone can order the car with 3.55's, which will help a little bit, but then you'll need to buy sticky tires. Next up is the base 301A. It comes with the drive modes and toggles. It too, can be had with the base 3.15 gears or ordered with 3.55's, these are LSD rears, just not the TORSEN. Also, I need to mention, if your in a 91 octane state, you get 448-450 hp and 405-410 lb-ft of tq. So you don't NEED a much heavier, full on performance pack to get the special acceleration. But do upgrade the tires and a cheap suspension mod and your done, for well under a pp car. And don't bother with the Audi A4 dash upgrade unless your after koolness or tech. That adds 45 lbs of kool to it. But if going quick in a straight line is all you care about, stick with the much lighter base cars and 18" wheels. And btw, 20" wheels will add over a 1/4 of a second to acceleration times. So youlll be a but slower. 18" wheels rake less distance to do one full rotation. You'll get shorter stopping distances, quicker acceleration and better mpg's on shorter height tires. There's a reason drag racers use 15" wheels: They make the car quicker and faster.

My first car was a used 1996 mustang. Only put out 150 hp but I loved it at the time. I bought a new SUV in 2014 because I’m a drummer and I needed a big car with space for my gear. I test drove the 2014 mustang coupe and it was awesome. If I wasn’t a drummer, I would have bought the mustang instead. If I could afford it, I would have that mustang and my SUV to drive just for gigs. The new 2018 mustangs look fucking awesome!
