The more you do with longer walks makes you stronger.
The stronger you are the better your work and the stronger Eagle Eyes will get.
You are raising a very active family, a great inspiration or many people.

Merry Christmas, I think it would be great if these old bunkers were restored they would be great for tourism, maybe even lightly repurpose some. It’s a shame to see them slowly rot away

I just love these, then and now photographs. It must be so enjoyable to find the exact position taken in the photograph, 80 plus years ago.

So many steps, we also walk a lot but on flatter land. Nice and good to see that Eagle Eyes and you are having a good time together despite all the setbacks and hardships. You grow strong together, stay strong. Courage will always remain. Here in the Netherlands you can also visit many open (renovated) public bunkers, but many are closed or neglected. Great locations, thx both.

So frustrating that those positions cemented shut! But your photos of how it was in WW2, bring the history alive.Looking forward to seeing what you discovered in the barracks.👍👍

I'm with you in being so disappointed that they decided to block up the entrances to the bunkers in that region. When you showed us that one gun that hadn't been removed or cemented I was given some hope that whatever lies inside the bunker complexes may be in better condition than many others. The view through the small porthole at the front of the gun showed that the parts were in remarkable condition, and seemed quite complete. If I were you I'd contact those responsible for maintaining the area and see what their plans are, and put in a plea to allow access. If the area is far enough away from population centres you might find that relatively little metal reclamation occurred.

Thanks for your hard work in bringing this location to us 🙂. And I can't wait to see Eagle Eyes' project as well. He's a great young lad, and that's a huge reflection on his dad. All the best, and a belated Merry Christmas if I've neglected to do so before hehe.

What a great explore. Love the before and after photo comparison. I agree with you about everything being sealed off. Would really love to see inside of these positions. Thank you and can't wait for part 3 and EE film he is working on.
