FYI folks this is a George Duke song, Duke wrote the song, Zappa liked it and asked permission to write lyrics and give it a name, Duke said yes and the rest is history .

As an added factoid before it became popular for white kids to call me uncle Tom US born blacks were calling me and all African immigrants uncle Reemus as an insult, now nobody is smart enough to even know who Uncle Reemus was and why he was so beloved in Americana.

I adore everything Frank did, but this track is special!! Zappa rarely co-wrote Music, that says a lot about his respect for George Duke!! Frank was a true true genius and an American treasure! A master composer! And he did it being banned from radio, starting his own label, and booking and promoting his albums and tours...he was totally self contained and has the best musicians In his groups... I'm making my band learn this!!

A man on a mission, music is the best!!!! Thanks Frank for yer contributions in making our lives more interesting by putting the eyebrows on it!!! It's so sad he passed before his time. I'm 42 I got his bug late, I was 10 when my Dad played Billy the mountain.... I was a soldier evey since. But... it all was cut short when he passed. No one can ever fill his shoes and we all feel that void. Damn, I hate been emotional cuz I'm sure he would've said " get over it"! But .. I haven't. Sincerely Rob

i left 29 zappa albums in my friend's basement when i left town and moved 3000 miles away. That was 38 years ago.
So great to hear most of them again on youtube the last few years. i sure missed'em. I only have more albums of one other artist: 33 Miles davis albums.
